Estimate your monthly parent co-pay and potential additional provider charges using the MBOP Tribal Child Care FY2026–2028 fee schedules. This is a planning tool, not a determination of eligibility or guaranteed coverage.
1. Household & care information
2. Provider charges
The overage estimate converts weekly and monthly charges using 52 weeks ÷ 12 months, as in the MBOP overage worksheet. For daily rates, the selected billed days per week are used. The published center weekly maximums differ from a five-day daily calculation; this estimator uses the daily maximum consistently for its comparison. Confirm billing arrangements with your case manager.
3. Estimated family costs
Income tier—Based on the selected fee scale
Monthly co-pay—Income-based parent fee
Daily maximum—MBOP maximum rate for selected care
Daily overage equivalent—Provider rate above daily maximum
Weekly overage—Estimated
Monthly overage—Weekly overage × 52 ÷ 12
Estimated total monthly parent responsibility—Co-pay + overage, subject to case manager review
The co-pay is normally deducted from MBOP’s payment once per month. The estimate adds the co-pay and overage as separate parent responsibilities for planning purposes; the provider’s billing practices and approved certificate determine actual amounts.
Important: This calculator does not determine eligibility, guarantee payment, or replace an approved 12-month certificate. Official co-pays, approved provider rates, age categories, exemptions, and overages must be confirmed by MBOP Tribal Child Care. If an income value falls into an overlap or gap in the published fee scale, this tool deliberately requests case manager review rather than guessing a tier. For households larger than the listed scale, contact the program.
