About MBOP Tribal Child Care
Supporting Native Families.
Strengthening Our Community.
The Moapa Band of Paiutes Tribal Child Care Program helps eligible Native American and Alaska Native families throughout Clark County access safe, high-quality, and affordable child care.
Through the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF), our program provides child care assistance while supporting families as they work, pursue education, or participate in job training.
Our Mission
Our mission is to offer safe, supportive, high-quality cultural and educational child care services to Native American and Alaska Native families, both on and off the Moapa Indian Reservation.
We strive to provide a healthy child care experience that supports each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Our Commitment to Families
Children are entitled to a safe and nurturing environment with routines that respect the individual needs of each child in our care.
Parents are entitled to individual respect, support, and quality care for their children.
Staff are entitled to work in an environment that recognizes and respects their training, skills, and commitment to child care.
How Are We Funded?
The Moapa Band of Paiutes oversees the distribution of the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) through the MBOP Tribal Child Care Program.
Through this funding, our program assists families of federally recognized Native American and Alaska Native tribal members in obtaining child care for children from 6 weeks through 12 years of age.
This assistance helps parents and guardians work, participate in job training, or complete higher education or vocational training while helping cover the cost of center-based, family, and in-home child care.

These values guide how we serve children, support families, work together, and strengthen our community.

Let nothing stand in the way of doing what is right.

What We Provide
MBOP Tribal Child Care helps eligible families access a variety of child care options throughout Clark County. Families can choose the type of care that best meets their individual needs.
Licensed & Exempt
Child Care Centers
Families may select from eligible licensed child care centers and qualifying license-exempt programs throughout Clark County.
This option provides families with access to established child care programs while allowing them to choose a provider that best fits their child’s needs.
Family / In-Home
Care
Families who prefer a more individualized child care setting may choose an eligible family, relative, or in-home provider.
Care may take place in the child’s home or in an approved provider’s home, offering families additional flexibility in choosing care that works for their household.
Before & After School
Programs
Child care assistance is available for eligible school-age children who need care outside of regular school hours.
Before and after school programs provide a safe and supportive environment for children while parents or guardians are working, attending school, or participating in job training.
